Call for Contributions, Autumn 2026

05-08-2026

LIRIC is entering an exciting new chapter and we're looking for voices shaping the future of writing and wellbeing. We're welcoming submissions for our upcoming autumn issue!

Submission deadline: We are now accepting submissions for our autumn issues.

Do you have valuable research in the field of writing for wellbeing and creative writing for therapeutic purposes (CWTP)? Are you passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice? We invite you to contribute to the upcoming issue of LIRIC, an open-access, peer-reviewed international publication.

LIRIC is dedicated to research and reflective inquiry that explores the impact of writing on wellbeing, self-development and professional practice. We publish work by researchers, educators, therapists, psychologists, nurses, medical practitioners, others working to improve health outcomes, creative writers, those with lived experience, and interdisciplinary professionals from around the world. We value diversity and openness to cultural, methodological, philosophical, and theoretical perspectives. If your work explores the benefits that writing has for individual wellbeing, for therapeutic practice or for social health, we’d love to hear from you.

We welcome a range of contributions, including the following.

Possible contributions

- research articles (up to 8000 words)

- scholarly and reflective essays (up to 5000)

- practice and methods notes (1500-3000)
