LIRIC December 2026 Special Issue
This exciting Special Issue is dedicated to the theme of how, through our research and practice, writing can change us and our world. We are particularly interested in work that pushes beyond established boundaries, challenges existing ways of thinking or practising, and opens up new possibilities for change.
Lines That Change will include the brilliant research, essays and reviews by our wonderful writers from earlier in 2026, along with brand new work in the field of writing for wellbeing and creative writing for therapeutic purposes.
Do you have research, an essay, case reflection, or other form of reflective inquiry which explores how writing for wellbeing and CWTP effect change? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for work which explores how, in the context of wellbeing, health and self-development, the act of writing poetry, fiction, memoir, autoethnography and creative dialogue can change us individually; how it can help us to embrace the new even while we work within and from traditions; how writing can help us to improve lives, relationships and social structures; how it can help us to see our world in new ways, and to care for our world and for one another in better ways. As always, LIRIC is committed to diversity, inclusion and openness to cultural, methodological, philosophical, and theoretical perspectives.
We welcome a range of contributions, including the following.
